ITINERARY

This ride overs some of the best scenery and sites in Nevada. Take on the Pony Express Trail, Immigrant Trail, Hamilton Stage Coach Route. Not to mention the abundance of wild mustangs, rivers, and high vistas we'll ride across. This tour has it all!

Day 1:

Our first day we'll meet around 5 pm for drinks and appetizers at the Tonopah Brewing Company as we get to know each other and discuss the tour. We'll go over any questions you may have, explain the itinerary, and provide some insight into what to expect over the next 5 days of riding the beautiful Southwest.

Day 2:

Time to ride! Our first day’s riding we'll take off from Tonopah and head past the Tonopah Test Range to Belmont ghost town, over mountain passes and past huge open pit gold mines on our way to Kingston Canyon.  Kingston Canyon is amazingly beautiful with dozens of water crossings.  We will make our way to Austin and hop on part of the Pony Express trail to a very memorable at the private Young Ranch for dinner and campfire before retiring to the Young’s historic log cabin for the evening.

Day 3:

After breakfast, we'll head back to Austin to fill up for the 220-mile section to Elko.  This is the longest section taking in large sections of the Pony Express route, the California Immigrant Trail and riding 2-tracks along the old Hamilton Stage Coach Route right into the back of Elko.  Huge mountain valleys, grand vistas, and riding along miles of rivers awaits.  Dinner in Elko at the best Basque restaurant in Northern Nevada – the Toki Ona.  A comfortable hotel room completes the day.

Day 4:

Today our trip takes us from Elko to the alpine mountain village of Jargidge.  The end of the Nevada BDR and beginning of the Idaho BDR.  Water crossings, large rolling hills and twisty-windy dirt roads are on tap.  We will ride the high desert and over one of the most amazing mountains of the 318 mountain ranges in Nevada.  Views that stretch hundreds of miles into eclectic Jarbidge.  In Jarbidge we will get fuel for our bikes and our belly’s before finding a great camping spot along the river for the night.  The cool mountain air and sounds of the river will accompany us as we reminisce about our adventure around the campfire before retiring to our tents for the only nights camping on this tour.

Day 5:

Our final day of riding takes us from Jarbidge for 100 miles of riding to Elko.  But first thing is Cowboy Coffee and breakfast around the campfire. For those renting bikes, this will be the end point with access to the Elko airport connecting to the major hubs of Twin Falls or Salt Lake City.  For those going on to the BMW MOA Rally in Salt Lake you are welcome to join us as we ride to Salt Lake for the largest BMW Rally in North America.
